River Returns From the Brink of Death
50 years ago, the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland Ohio was so polluted, it actually caught fire. It inspired the government to pass the Clean Water Act, leading to the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency. Factories had to stop dumping waste into the river. These days, the river is full of fish, birds, and swimmers!
