Corals Working on a Comeback

The Hawaiian-Emperor Seamount Chain, a mostly-underwater mountain range, had been devastated by overfishing and trawling with nets. Many deep-sea corals were destroyed, and the whole area was put under protection. The federal protection is working; the corals are finally starting to come back, and will hopefully become a thriving ecological habitat again.
