Don’t Touch the Ant Ball

Floodwaters are dangerous, and in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, there’s one more reason to stay out of the water. Rafts of fire ants have been spotted floating on the surface. The flooded ant colonies form a giant ball, and ride the flow of water until they reach a dry spot. Nice teamwork!
