Notre Dame’s Bees Alive and Well

When Notre Dame Cathedral caught fire last week in France, no one was hurt. Not even the honeybees! There were 3 beehives on top of the cathedral, which housed 180,000 honeybees. If the fire raging only 100 feet below had heated their hives to over 145º, the wax would have melted. The smoke just made the bees sleepy!
