Become a Martian Seismologist

NASA’s InSight lander, arrived on Mars in November. Its mission is to measure Mars’s temperatures, rotation, and seismic activity. InSight recently recorded its first evidence of a Marsquake! Scientists believe the tremors occurred because the planet’s interior is shrinking as it cools, causing cracks in the outer crust. Martian seismology is an official field!
