It’s International Polar Bear Day! Polar bears have black skin, and hollow transparent hairs that scatter light, making their fur look white! They live in Arctic sea-ice regions, so climate change and melting ice, has a huge impact on endangered polar bears. They can grow 9 feet tall, with foot-wide paws! Polar bears are amazing!

A Dangerous Game

What do you do when you have a bunch of construction equipment, and a pile of 8-foot wooden beams? You play Jenga! Chad Cremeens conducted the world’s biggest Jenga game with a Caterpillar loader, telehandler, material handler, and excavators. Each block weighed 600 pounds! Giant Jenga requires patience; the 20-foot tower took 28 hours to build!

When it’s cold out, experts recommend you dress in layers. I guess Ted Hastings, of Ontario Canada, is ready for anything. He just set a new world record, by wearing 260 tee shirts at once! He was raising money for his kids’ school, to buy new playground equipment. The biggest shirt was size 20XL!

Dude, That’s FarFarOut

Last year, astronomers spotted the most distant object ever identified in our solar system, and nicknamed it Far Out. Now, they’ve found another object, even more distant. So of course, it’s called Far Far Out. It orbits the sun at a distance of 140 astronomical units, which is approximately 13,020,000,000 miles away!
