Naked mole rats are amazing animals. They don’t age, or get cancer, and they live in colonies with a queen, like ants. The queen has all the babies. Scientists discovered the queen’s poop has extra hormones, and the other females eat it! The hormones make them want to take care of the queen’s babies.

Moss Balls Like a Schedule

Floating moss balls, also called marimo, are algae found in lakes in Japan and Iceland. The fuzzy green balls float to the surface at dawn, and sink at dusk. Scientists discovered they produce bubbles during photosynthesis that help them rise. They also have a circadian rhythm, rising with the sun instead of artificial light.
