Starting next year, you can get your own hoverbike, if you have a spare $150,000. The Hoverbike S3, made by Hoversurf, uses 4 spinning rotor blades to keep the vehicle in the air. It’s controlled by joysticks, and can go 60 miles per hour, at altitudes up to 16 feet. Unfortunately, a charge only lasts 10 to 25 minutes.

Purple phototrophic bacteria might be the key to creating electricity from sewage! The bacteria stores energy from light, and when it’s supplied with an electric current, it collects carbon and generates hydrogen. That means it can produce energy from wastewater in sewage treatment plants, with zero carbon footprint!

Some raccoons in West Virginia, had the neighbors worried that they were rabid. As it turns out, they were just surly drunks! The raccoons had been eating fermented crabapples, and got a tad tipsy. After animal control captured them, they sobered up, and were released into the woods unharmed.

It’s been nearly a year since singer Bruno Mars won a Grammy for his Album of the Year, titled “24K Magic.” In order to celebrate, Bruno is donating 24,000 meals, to the Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving Dinner Meal Program. The meals will be given to people in his home state of Hawaii.
