Australian YouTubers How Ridiculous set a world record in 2016 when they made a 593 foot basketball shot. They’ve just broken their own record. Derek Herron, Brett Stanford and Scott Gaunson set up the shot at Maletsunyane Falls in Lesotho. Derek sent a basketball through a hoop 660 feet down! That’s gotta be worth more than 3 points!

After a snowstorm in Kiltarlity Scotland, 8 year-old Kyle Mackay got to work. Worried that people in his neighborhood would slip on the ice, he filled a wheelbarrow with grit and spent his snow days salting the sidewalks. Researchers have discovered a new species fossilized in British Columbia Canada. The Kootenayscolex barbarensis is a bristle-covered worm that looks like a pipe cleaner! It lived 508 million years ago during the Cambrian period. The unusually well-preserved annelids, which are segmented worms, will provide important information showing their evolution into modern worm species.
