Squirrels are busy gathering nuts for the winter, but where do they store them all? A red squirrel in North Dakota, decided a truck, was the perfect place for his stash. When Bill Fischer opened the hood of his Chevy Avalanche, he found 42 pounds of walnuts stuffed everywhere! That was one busy squirrel.

Peppered Pumpkin Seeds

It’s Pumpkin Seed Day, so it’s the perfect time to practice your pumpkin-carving skills, the roast the seeds. Sprinkle them with salt, or cinnamon and sugar. Your Jack-o’-lantern will be moldy by Halloween, so you’ll have to carve another one later in the month. You’ll get more pumpkin seeds, to try another recipe!

Badgers can be found in many parts of North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Today is Badger Day, so look up some pictures, and see which type looks the friendliest!

Today is Mad Hatter Day, so wear a crazy hat, and have fun acting silly! Maybe your hat should have spaghetti on it, because it’s also Noodle Day! What’s your favorite noodle shape? Mouthful of Marshmallows

Are you good, at catching food in your mouth? Here’s a record you can try to break. David Rush and his friend Jonathan Hannon, expert world record-breakers, teamed up again. Jonathan threw marshmallows at David’s mouth from 15 feet away, who caught 58 in 1 minute! Luckily, he didn’t have to eat them.

Ice-Age Tooth in a Pile of Dirt

6-year-old Julian Gagnon was visiting Michigan’s Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve, when he found a fossilized mastodon tooth. The park was named Dinosaur Hill, because excess dirt was piled into the shape of a sleeping dinosaur, when surrounding neighborhoods were built. The 12,000-year-old tooth was a completely unexpected discovery! Julian donated it to a museum.

No Transporters Aboard This Ship

William Shatner became famous, playing the role of Captain Kirk, on the original Star Trek TV show. Soon, the 90-year-old actor, will become a real-life space traveler. On October 12th, Shatner will join the crew of Blue Origin’s New Shepard, and launch into space. It’ll be a much shorter voyage, than the USS Enterprise’s.

It’s Balloons Around The World Day! Tie a helium balloon to your wrist, to follow you around, or blow one up, and rub it on your hair. Static electricity will make it stick! Ambush your friends, with water balloons, or take a hot air balloon ride. Remember, never let balloons fly away. That’s littering!
