The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV show came out in 1993. 5 ordinary teenagers morph into the Power Rangers, gaining special powers, assault machines called Zords, and stretchy suits. Get some friends together, pick your favorite Ranger color, and create a Megazord to fight off the bad guys. Go go Power Rangers!

Rubik’s Revolutions

11-year-old Sankavi Rathan, of Ontario Canada, can easily solve a Rubik’s cube. She can even do it one-handed. In fact, she solved 30 Rubik’s cubes, with one hand, while hula-hooping! It was enough to beat the previous world record of 25. It took her less than an hour to complete the amazing feat.

Check Your Car for Kittens

After Rosalind O’Brien, in Britain, took a 30 -mile drive, she heard meows from her car’s engine. A kitten had hidden in the engine compartment, and survived the trip. The RSPCA helped her get the kitten out, and it rode back inside the car. She adopted the kitten and named it Yaris, after her Toyota.

Ship-Shaped Galaxy

NASA scientists were studying the stars, and found a galaxy far far away. The galaxy, located in the Cassiopeia constellation, looks like a TIE fighter, from Star Wars. At the center of the galaxy, is a supermassive black hole. There are other galaxies out there, that look like cat’s eyes, skulls, or penguins.

Night of the Bats

Tonight is International Bat Night. Watch bats swoop around, eating insects. Did you know they can eat 1000 mosquitoes per hour? Other types of bats eat fruit, like the giant golden-crowned flying fox. It has a wingspan of 5 1/2 feet! Bats are also pollinators, like bees and butterflies. Bats are amazing!
