57 years ago, 250,000 people attended the March on Washington, where civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr gave his famous, “I have a dream” speech. Today, another March on Washington is taking place. Commitment March: Get Your Knee Off Our Necks, is a call to end racism, police brutality, and voter suppression.

It’s Power Rangers Day! The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV show came out in 1993. 5 ordinary teenagers morph into the Power Rangers, gaining special powers, assault machines called Zords, and stretchy suits. Get some friends together, pick your favorite Ranger color, and create a Megazord to fight off the bad guys. Go go Power Rangers!

It’s Bow Tie Day, so pick one that stands out, and get ready to spend some time at your computer. It’s also Crackers Over The Keyboard Day, and Race Your Mouse Around The Icons Day! When your computer’s running slow, eating a snack, and playing with the cursor, help pass the time.

11-year-old Sankavi Rathan, of Ontario Canada, can easily solve a Rubik’s cube. She can even do it one-handed. In fact, she solved 30 Rubik’s cubes, with one hand, while hula-hooping! It was enough to beat the previous world record of 25. It took her less than an hour to complete the amazing feat.

After Rosalind O’Brien, in Britain, took a 30 -mile drive, she heard meows from her car’s engine. A kitten had hidden in the engine compartment, and survived the trip. The RSPCA helped her get the kitten out, and it rode back inside the car. She adopted the kitten and named it Yaris, after her Toyota.

NASA scientists were studying the stars, and found a galaxy far far away. The galaxy, located in the Cassiopeia constellation, looks like a TIE fighter, from Star Wars. At the center of the galaxy, is a supermassive black hole. There are other galaxies out there, that look like cat’s eyes, skulls, or penguins.

Tonight is International Bat Night. Watch bats swoop around, eating insects. Did you know they can eat 1000 mosquitoes per hour? Other types of bats eat fruit, like the giant golden-crowned flying fox. It has a wingspan of 5 1/2 feet! Bats are also pollinators, like bees and butterflies. Bats are amazing!

Jump around like a monkey, because it’s Banana Lovers’ Day! What a perfect fruit. It comes already wrapped and it’s delicious! It’s also Tug-Of-War Day. 2 teams grab a rope and try to drag each other across a line. Vikings used to play over a fire pit, but a mud pit is more fun!
