Teen Tyrants

Tyrannosaurus Rex is perhaps the most well-known dinosaur. The T-rex was believed to have a smaller relative, called the Nanotyrannus. After comparing the bones’ growth rings at the microscopic level, scientists now think they weren’t dwarf T-rexes after all. Petey was 15, and Jane was 13. They were probably just teenage Tyrannosaurs!

Sci-Fi and the Mew Year

Happy Mew Year! Yes, you heard me right. It’s Happy Mew Year Day For Cats! I guess people weren’t paying enough attention to them yesterday. It’s also Science Fiction Day. On the birthday of one of the greatest science fiction writers, Isaac Asimov, read “I Robot”, and watch Dr Who or Star Trek.

A Nice Way to Say Thanks

Last week, some firefighters in Indiana were shopping at the grocery store, when they got an emergency call. They had to leave their groceries in the cart and rush out. When the firefighters came back to finish their grocery shopping, they discovered someone had paid for everything as a thank you! That was nice!

Coffee Fit for a King

The Grand Egyptian Museum will have their grand opening in 2020, but they’ve already made their mark in the record books. Since the museum is located in Giza near the Great Pyramids, they created the world’s largest mosaic of coffee cups, in the image of King Tutankhamun. King Tut’s face consumed 7,260 cups of coffee!
