The Nestley Company’s Yes! snack bars will soon be wrapped in a new recyclable paper, that can biodegrade in 6 months. They did not patent the technology, because they hope other companies will also start using it on their production lines. Nestley’s goal is to make all their packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025.

A transportation company in Ohio, knows how to keep its workers happy. They got office kittens! The Finance and IT department rescued 2 kitties, and named them Debit and Credit. The kittens entertained everyone, including 16,000 Instagram followers, until they were adopted into their forever homes. Maybe fostering kittens will become a new job perk!

She surprised people with her performance in the talent competition, by demonstrating the catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. When Is Halftime?

While the FIFA Women’s World Cup was taking place this week, another soccer game was happening on the sidelines. Equal Playing Field organized a 5-per-side match, that lasted 69 hours! 807 players participated for 10 minutes each, to break the world record for largest number of players to appear continuously. The final score was 404 to 369.

Using a geothermal heat-recovery system, the stored energy could heat local apartments in the winter, and air condition them in the summer, cutting CO2 emissions by 2,000,000 tons per year!

Print Your Own Lamborghini

Physicist Sterling Backus and his son, are 3D printing a supercar! They’ve taken the design for a Lamborghini Aventador, and added their own flair. Most of the car is printed from plastic, although some panels are wrapped in carbon fiber. The engine and chassis are also not plastic. What an amazing father-son project!
