Mud Geyser Takes Over

A New Zealand family evacuated their home, after a 30 foot geyser of mud started spewing out of the ground! A fault line crosses under the town of Rotorua, located in the Whakarewarewa Valley, known for it’s geothermal activity. Steam escapes through vents, causing bubbling mud pools, and water geysers spouting 100 feet into the air!

Dogs on Holiday

A hotel in Indonesia is trying a new feature for its guests. Twice a week, they’ll offer poolside puppy therapy! The Puri Garden Hotel will work with the Bali Dog Association, a group that rescue’s the islands street dogs. Travelers who are missing their dogs, can give another lucky dog some belly rubs!

Ohio Builds Pollinator Freeways

The Ohio Department of Transportation does more than build roads. It’s creating highways for bees and butterflies! The Pollinator Habitat Program is responsible for planting 800 acres of wildlife-friendly flowers and grasses along the roadsides. The tall plants also prevent the need for mowing, and help stop blowing snow in the winter. Everybody wins!
