Last week, students at an Ohio high school had a lesson in Bubble-ology, with Gary Pearlman, also known as Dr. U R Awesome. He’s a bubble expert who holds 6 bubble-related world records. Math and physics students were attempting to break the world record for the largest indoor bubble, which was 65 cubic feet.

A couple in Ehlanzeni South Africa, noticed someone had been using their pool while they were at work. Thinking it was neighbors using the pool without their permission, they installed security cameras. When they watched the video, they saw a group of baboons having a pool party! Last one in is a rotten egg!

A teenager in Iowa was looking for arrowheads, but found a 34,000 year-old fossil instead. It was the jawbone of a mastodon, complete with teeth! Mastodons were like hairy elephants. The 30-inch jawbone, which belonged to a juvenile who stood about 7 feet tall, was donated to the University of Iowa Paleontology Repository.

Homeowners in London heard meowing coming from their walls. They were having some work done on their house, and a litter of kittens had fallen into an opening! The fire brigade had to tear down the wall to rescue the newborn kittens, who were given the names MacAvity, Rumtum, Wally, Grizabella and Jemima.

An 11 year-old girl sent a request to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern of New Zealand, along with a 5 dollar bribe. Victoria wants the government to conduct research on the existence of dragons. She also wanted to learn telekinesis, to help train dragons with her mind. Ardern said the government is not currently studying either field.

An architect and a chemical engineer, have teamed up to create a new source of lighting for buildings. They want to use light-emitting plants! Plants can be infused with nanoparticles, that turn stored energy into light. The glowing plants would not need power lines or batteries. Don’t forget to water the lights!
