It’s feeling like spring, so go outside. It’s Take A Walk In The Park Day! Count how many different birds you hear, and see what flowers are starting to bloom. It’s also Pencil Day, so bring along pencils and paper, and make a list, or sketch a picture. Yay for erasable writing!

Cleaning Up Spring Break

Spring Break means parties on the beach for many students. But one 19 year-old is spending his time at the beach cleaning it up! Joshua Caraway traveled to Miami from Atlanta with friends. They were there to party, not pick up trash. But visiting tourists were inspired by Joshua, and helped him clean the beach!

High-Flying Crime

Deputies in Florida helped the Indiana Police Department, recover a stolen vehicle. It wasn’t a car, or even a truck. It was a hot air balloon! The stolen property was spotted in the air, at the Villages Hot Air Balloon Festival. The balloon was delivered to its owner in the Midwest, hopefully by airmail!

People in India are making a huge recycling effort. In fact, they set a new world record! 3,373 people formed a giant green recycling symbol. The 3 arrows in the symbol help you remember to reduce, re-use, and recycle! When printed on plastics, the number in the middle tells you what type of plastic it is.

Neptune’s Great Dark Spot

There’s a big storm brewing, but don’t worry. It’s on the planet Neptune. The Hubble Space Telescope has captured images of a vortex known as the Great Dark Spot. The area has grown, from some white clouds a few years ago, to a dark spot stretching 6,800 miles across! The clouds contain methane ice crystals!
