A Dutch company called DyeCoo, is using carbon dioxide to dye fabric, instead of water. The CO2 is cleaned and recycled after each color cycle. It usually takes between 25 and 40 gallons of water to dye 2 pounds of fabric, so the textile industry could save 25 trillion gallons of water a year, by switching dye methods!

How would you like to have 18 brothers and sisters? A Great Dane just had 19 puppies at once! Cleo had to go to the animal hospital to have her litter, since she was having so many puppies. Humans are helping by bottle-feeding her babies, since she can’t nurse them all at the same time.

You should never leave a candle unattended. A family in England had left a candle burning in the bathroom, and it got knocked over. A snake had slithered out of the toilet and bumped it! Luckily, the candle went out, but the poor snake had turned blue from toilet-cleaning chemicals! They named him Kevin.

2 Girl Scouts have a new hero. Maya and Emerson were selling cookies outside a store in South Carolina. It was a cold night, so they were happy when a man bought 7 boxes. Then he returned, and bought their entire stock, so they could get out of the cold! He now owns $540 worth of cookies!

It’s International Polar Bear Day! Polar bears have black skin, and hollow transparent hairs that scatter light, making their fur look white! They live in Arctic sea-ice regions, so climate change and melting ice, has a huge impact on endangered polar bears. They can grow 9 feet tall, with foot-wide paws! Polar bears are amazing!

Today is Retro Day, so pick your favorite decade before cell phones, and have fun! Wear groovy bell-bottoms from the 70’s, or a dapper suit from the 50’s. Play video games from the 80’s, or watch movies from the 60’s. But every decade had yummy strawberries, which is good, because it’s also Strawberry Day!

Chad Cremeens conducted the world’s biggest Jenga game with a Caterpillar loader, telehandler, material handler, and excavators. Each block weighed 600 pounds! Giant Jenga requires patience; the 20-foot tower took 28 hours to build!
