A man in Grand Rapids Michigan had a meteorite, that had been used as a doorstop for 80 years. The original owner saw the rock fall from space in the 1930’s. The current owner was curious about its value, so he asked experts to check it out. The spectacular specimen could be worth $100,000!

Sam Fletcher has a fun little friend. His name is Mr. Bottle-Opener, and he’s a corkscrew with arms. Sam created a video of the bottle-opener on a roller coaster, which shows the arms flying up into the air as they whiz down the big hills! I wonder what Mr. Bottle-Opener’s next adventure will be!

For the first time in Maryland history, loggerhead sea turtles hatched on Assateague Island National Seashore. Sea turtles usually lay eggs on the coasts from Florida to North Carolina, so a nest that far north was unheard of! About 100 eggs hatched, and the tiny turtles made their way out to sea.

Today is World Octopus Day! Octopuses have 3 hearts, and 8 arms, not tentacles. Tentacles only have suckers at the tips. Octopuses are extremely intelligent, masters of camouflage, and escape artists! Today is also American Touch Tag Day. An octopus would be great at water tag! My favorite version is freeze tag. Tag, you’re it!

At a charity event in China, piano players set a new world record for most pianos played simultaneously. 666 pianos were played at once, but there were only 639 people. Some of them must have been plating two pianos at the same time! They broke the previous record of 555 pianos, set in South Korea in 2007.

In Minnesota, a man named Jeremy struck a squirrel with his car. He stopped to check on the stunned squirrel, and tried to revive him by giving him CPR. The little guy was revived, and ran into the trees, leaving Jeremy and 2 police officers extremely happy! That was one lucky squirrel!

The cow is the national animal of Nepal. One man loves them so much, he is devoting his time to rescuing cows! Cows end up living on the streets of Kathmandu when they get abandoned. R B Neupaune carries the cows to a sanctuary on his motorcycle, where people donate food to help care for them!
