Visitors to the Nanchang Flight Convention in China, saw ghost planes at the closing ceremony. 800 drones flew in amazing patterns, so that their lights formed shapes like a propeller plane, a fighter jet, a helicopter, and an airliner. They hovered over the water, reflecting both beautiful lights, and amazing drone-operating skills!

The Unicorn meteor shower could produce a spectacular show in the sky Thursday night. The Alpha Monocerotid meteor shower appears to come from the constellation Monoceros, which is the Greek word for unicorn. The shooting stars will last less than an hour, starting around 11:45 pm Eastern Time, so don’t miss the outburst!

Australia’s University of the Sunshine Coast, is using sunshine to cool the campus. 6000 solar panels generate energy, which is stored in a giant water battery. The battery, a 3-story tall thermal energy tank, powers the University’s air conditioning. It has already cut their electrical usage by 40% and drastically reduced their greenhouse gas emissions!

Art therapist Jessie Mercer, watched wildfires incinerate her town of Paradise California last year. She decided to collect keys from people whose homes had been destroyed by fire, and turn them into a symbol of hope. She transformed 14,000 keys into a sculpture of a phoenix, the mythical bird that’s reborn from ashes.

Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 12 Mission’s 2nd Moon landing. When astronaut Pete Conrad stepped onto the Moon, he said, “Whoopie! Man, that may have been a small one for Neil, but that’s a long one for me!” Alan Bean also went to the surface, while Dick Gordon piloted the command module.
