Throwing Pots For Charity

An art teacher in Medford, Wisconsin wanted to raise money for a food pantry with her students. She decided to do it by breaking a world record! Jill Fortin made 261 clay pots on a pottery wheel, in one hour. The art club raised $1000 for the food pantry, and kindergarten classes will decorate the pots and plant flowers.

An Australian dog named Max is a hero! Max is 17 years old, deaf, and partially blind. But when his owner’s 3 year-old girl wandered off, he followed along with her. Max stayed with Aurora for 15 hours until a search party got close. Then he met the toddler’s grandmother and led her right to Aurora!

Uranus Smelt It

Poor Uranus. After years of debate, astronomers have finally identified the gas that makes up the planet’s clouds. It’s hydrogen sulfide, the gas that makes rotten eggs and flatulence smell so good. Yep, Uranus smells like farts. Ha ha ha hoho-hee-hee, hoho hoo hee! It’s also -328 degrees Fahrenheit, so I don’t think I’d want to visit Uranus anyway!

Cows Love Mooosic

The cows in Kilmichael Cork, Ireland appreciate good music. When young Grace Lehane played a song on her concertina, which is an accordion-like instrument, the cows on her father’s farm came running! They stood along the fence and listened to her play. They couldn’t clap for her, but they gave her a standing ovation!
