Poor Uranus. After years of debate, astronomers have finally identified the gas that makes up the planet’s clouds. It’s hydrogen sulfide, the gas that makes rotten eggs and flatulence smell so good. Yep, Uranus smells like farts. Ha ha ha hoho-hee-hee, hoho hoo hee! It’s also -328 degrees Fahrenheit, so I don’t think I’d want to visit Uranus anyway!

When Dutch student Boyan Slat was 18, he started a foundation called The Ocean Cleanup. They designed a device to collect the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, an area of plastic trash twice as big as France. The system is finally ready to start cleaning! If people stop adding to it, half the patch could get collected in 5 years.

Today is National Pigs In A Blanket Day! Pretend you’re a little piglet and snuggle up in a blanket and snort. Pretend your pets are pigs too. Make some art of pigs in blankets, and make a blanket with pigs on it! Or eat sausages wrapped in biscuit dough. I think that’s what they really meant, hee hee snort!

The cows in Kilmichael Cork, Ireland appreciate good music. When young Grace Lehane played a song on her concertina, which is an accordion-like instrument, the cows on her father’s farm came running! They stood along the fence and listened to her play. They couldn’t clap for her, but they gave her a standing ovation!
