In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing, LEGO created a NASA Apollo Saturn 5 set. The detailed LEGO building kit has been popular with creative adults, who have been turning the rockets into lamps. When suspended over cotton with a light behind it, it appears to be blasting off!

Ryan the Recycling Hero

10-year-old Ryan Hickman visited lawmakers in Washington DC last month, to push for a new recycling bill. He wants the United States to have standardized recycling labels, to make recycling less confusing. They will reduce garbage contamination of recyclables. Ryan should know, because he started his own recycling company when he was 3!

Peculiar Galaxy Spotted

NASA’s powerful Hubble telescope, has spotted a galaxy in the constellation Aries. It’s twice as big as our own Milky Way. Unlike our galaxy, it does not have a bar of bright light through the center. It’s classified as a peculiar galaxy, because it’s stretched out, and has one twisted and distorted spiral arm.
