Cheating in the Middle Ages

It took 600 years, but the Medieval cheater was finally discovered. An archaeological site in Norway has uncovered many dice from the Middle Ages over the years. One of the wooden 6-sided dice just found, had two sets of 5s and 4s, instead of sides with 1 and 2 dots. Somebody was using it to cheat! Shame on them.

Star Wars and Lego, BFFs

You might have to wait until May 25th to see the next Star Wars movie about Han Solo, but at least you’ll have something to do while waiting. The new Star Wars Lego sets were just released! From land speeders and Corellian hounds to Han Solo and the Kessel Run Millennium Falcon, there’s plenty of awesome stuff to build!

Mmm, Cinnamon-ey…

Wolferman’s gourmet bakery wanted to make something outstanding for the Pear Blossom Festival in Medford, Oregon. So they made a 1149 pound cinnamon roll! It easily broke the world record in its 6 foot by 9 foot pan. Since they didn’t have a big enough oven, they cooked it over propane burners. Now I want a cinnamon roll for breakfast!

L.A. Gets Even Cooler

Los Angeles is trying a new tactic to beat the California heat. They are painting the streets gray! The light-colored sealant prevents the asphalt from retaining heat, and can reduce surface temperatures by 23 degrees Fahrenheit. Cooler streets reduce the air temperatures in urban areas, which also saves electricity used for air conditioning. Cool!
