They have long necks, zebra-striped legs, reddish bodies, and prehensile tongues. The endangered species lives in the Ituri Forest of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Great Barrier Reef is an ecosystem of coral reefs over 1400 miles long off the coast of Australia. It’s the largest living thing on Earth. But pollution, climate change and coral bleaching are killing the reef. Scientists have been able to transplant healthy coral to help nurse the reef back to health.

He sailed from France on a trimaran, which is a sailing yacht with one main hull and two outer floats attached by beams. They are nearly unsinkable.

The president of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, declared Revillagigedo Archipelago a National Park. At 57,000 square miles, it is the largest ocean reserve in North America and is home to many species of sharks, rays, endangered sea turtles, and fish. The area is now protected from fishing, oil drilling and other development.

A 12 year-old boy from Annandale Virginia has set a third world record. Caleb Hymans set a world record for 11 year-olds running a 10K race in under 38 minutes. Then he became the fastest 12 year-old running another 10K. Now he’s broken his own record, running the 10K in 35 minutes 34 seconds. That’s one fast kid!
