Rainbows Everywhere

Do you love colorful Lisa Frank school supplies? Hotels.com designed a suite in the Barsala Flats in Los Angeles, and you can rent the Lisa Frank Flat for a night in October! It’s decorated in bright colors and patterns, and the kitchen’s stocked with retro snacks and stuffed animals. There’s even a rainbow-lit shower!

You Blinked!

Paolo Ballesteros can beat you in a staring contest. If you want to prove me wrong, see how long you can go without blinking. Paolo’s record is 1 hour, 17 minutes, and 3 seconds! He’s an actor in the Philippines. He would be great at playing a robot or a dead guy!

Look Up for Meteors

Tonight may be a good night to see some meteors! The Draconid meteor shower should be visible in the early evening, and is caused by debris from the 21P/Giacobini-Zinner Comet. The Comet 2P/Encke is responsible for the South Taurid meteor shower. Debris burns up in the atmosphere, creating fireballs that streak across the sky.

Send a Curious Letter

Did you know it’s Curious Events Day? Celebrate all the strange things in the world, like how it’s impossible to sneeze with your eyes open, or historical events, like when meat fell from the sky in Kentucky. It’s also World Post Day, so send someone a postcard or letter. Don’t forget an interesting stamp!
