Tipsy Raccoons

Some intoxicated raccoons have been wandering around a neighborhood in Ottawa Canada. One resident watched a raccoon staggering around her yard, while someone else found one passed out under their deck. The raccoons are probably getting drunk from eating fermented fruit. They’ll sober up after a while, if they’re simply left alone.

Helping the Bahamas

A man was spotted in a Florida Costco, buying supplies for hurricane victims. He  purchased food and 100 generators to ship to the Bahamas, spending $50,000! The islands were hit hard by Hurricane Dorian, and will need lots of help to recover. You can help too, by donating to the Red Cross or other charities.

Star Destroyer Approaching

There’s a Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer on the horizon, but you’ll have to build it yourself. It’s a new LEGO ship! The massive Star Destroyer set will have 4,784 pieces and be over 43 inches long. It even includes a Tantive 4 Rebel craft! It’s part of the Ultimate Collector Series, so it’ll probably be expensive!

Roller Coaster of Luck

A man riding the Shambhala roller coaster in Spain couldn’t believe his luck. He dropped his phone on the floor and it went airborne when the coaster hit 80 miles-per-hour. His luck turned when a New Zealand passenger further back, Samuel Kempf, reached up and caught it! A ride-camera caught the fantastic catch on video!

Making Recycling Easier

A family in England was unhappy with their community’s recycling program, so they started their own. They built a recycling center in their driveway! They take hard-to-recycle items like coffee pods, crisp packets, and Tetra-Paks, and drive them to specialized recycling centers. Hannah and Danny Iwanejko have already saved 2000 pounds of recyclables from landfills!

There’s a Good Spot

SpaceX may not be done building its Starship spacecraft yet, but they’re already scoping out good places to land on Mars. The company is planning ahead by using images from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The Starship will be 180 feet long, and might be ready to launch for Mars as early as 2022!
