Hiroshi Kuroda is a Japanese chef. He was often asked how long or thin noodles could be, so he decided to find out! He took an hour to form one long egg noodle in his wok, using sesame oil to keep it from breaking. The world’s longest egg noodle is now 602 feet, 9 inches long!

Last week, the Ohio River filled with 185,000 yellow rubber ducks! The Freestore Foodbank holds a Rubber Duck Regatta in Ohio, to raise money. People sponsor each duck, for a chance to win big prizes. After the race, the toys are scooped from the river, and reused in races across the country, year after year!

3rd-grader Marissa Strong invented the Puff-N-Fluff for her school’s Invention Convention. It’s a cloth tube that fits around your dog, then attaches to a hair dryer to dry him off in minutes. The idea was such a success, that Marissa is now a high school senior, talk show guest, patented inventor, and business owner!

As Hurricane Dorian battered the Bahamas, Chella Phillips, who runs the Voiceless Dogs of Pawtcake Refuge, sheltered 97 homeless dogs in her house! The moose wandered into the football stadium, took a few laps around the track, snacked on some bushes, then took a nap!

Sensors warn the user of obstacles with vibrations, while speakers announce nearby shops and restaurants, or which bus is arriving. What a fantastic tool for the visually impaired!

Mexican scientist Sandra Pascoe Ortiz, has developed a biodegradable plastic made from cactus leaves! It can degrade in water in only a few days. Since cacti can grow in harsh conditions, the eco-friendly plastic can be produced using fewer natural resources. The cactus plastic is even edible, although it doesn’t taste very good!
