West Lafayette Indiana is full of small ponds, and turtles are often seen trying to get to them, by crossing dangerous streets. 8-year-old Jack Wietbrock wrote a letter to the mayor, asking him to put up Turtle Crossing signs to help keep them safe. The mayor agreed to install signs, thanks to Jack!

A hungry bulldog in Thailand needed surgery after his last meal. Devil ate 32 rubber duckies! Nong Aom had ordered a box of rubber ducks for her pool, and noticed they were missing when Devil threw up 5 of them. The hour-long surgery was a success, and also removed two rubber balls!

Did you know , the New York Police Department has a beekeeping squad? Officers Mays and Lauriano handle calls about bees. Earlier this month, Mays was called to remove a swarm of 25,000 bees that wanted to ride the Staten Island Ferry! He relocated the honeybees to a new hive, and only got stung once.

There are lots of varieties of grasshoppers. Most are green or brown in color, like grass. But a lady in England was surprised, to find a bright pink grasshopper in the garden! The rare pink color occurs because of a genetic variance called erythrism, which may also cause red hair and freckles in humans!

12-year-old Jackson Hepner was playing in Ohio, when he found a long-lost tooth. The tooth was from a woolly mammoth from the Ice Age! Jackson spotted the fossilized tooth in a creek in Millersburg. Experts say it’s an upper 3rd molar, used to grind grass and seeds. Jackson can’t wait to show his friends!

The best part of Lucky Charms cereal is the marshmallows, right? Now you can buy whole bags of Lucky Charms marshmallows! The marshmallows are larger and softer than the ones found in cereal boxes. I wonder if a food dehydrator would transform them? Someone needs to try it, and let me know!
