Indonesian man Medi Bastoni, of East Java, wants to raise awareness of forest preservation. People will notice him, because he’s walking 500 miles to Jakarta, backwards! He hopes to meet with President Widodo, and ask for a symbolic seed to plant on Mount Wilis. The volcanic mountain’s trees are being regenerated, after deforestation and fires.

Scientific words like “deoxyribonucleotide” can be a mouthful. Imagine trying to say it with your hands, in sign language! University of Dundee student Liam Mcmulkin, is deaf, and got tired of watching a translator spell long, scientific words during class. He started making new signs. British Sign Language now has 100 new words, and counting!

J’Aime Brown was born on the 11th day of the 7th month, weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces, at 7:11 a.m. The 7-Eleven convenience stores couldn’t ignore a baby born on 7 11, at 7:11, weighing 7 11! They gave her $7,111 for her college fund, along with 7-Eleven onesies, and lots of diapers! J’Aime’s birthday is Free Slurpee Day!
