Have you ever heard of a pocket shark? The American Pocket Shark is only 5 1/2 inches long, and it glows in the dark! The shark has pocket glands near its front fins, that secrete a glowing fluid. The light attracts other creatures, which the shark attacks and eats for dinner. Stay away from the light!

The National Weather Service in Nebraska, had a fun way to demonstrate how hot it gets inside a car, during a heat wave. They baked biscuits! They put a pan of biscuits in a car window, and let the sun get to work. It was soon 185° Fahrenheit, but it took 8 hours to bake them.

Some students in California, may start the new school year riding to school, on clean electric buses! The California Energy Commission approved funding, to replace 200 diesel school buses around the state. They will not only make the roads a little less polluted, but let kids breathe cleaner air while they go to school!

Developer Eric Blumrich is working on a new open-world video game, all about cats. The game, called Peace Island, is a chance to see the world from a cat’s perspective. 9 cats will go on adventures and solve mysteries, on an island with no humans. I wonder if you can push stuff off ledges.

It was a sad day when Toys R Us closed down in 2017. But the toy store is trying to make a comeback. Toys R Us will begin opening a new type of store, with large play areas. It’ll give kids a chance to touch everything, and play with toys displayed out of the box.

Last year, Virginia Commonwealth University noticed a lot of perfectly good items getting dumped, when students moved out of the dorm rooms. They decided to collect those items, and open the VCU Free Store in the fall. Students can shop for free furniture, art supplies, appliances, and electronics, and keep it out of landfills!
