The Eagle Has Landed

A bald eagle named Clark, gave fans an up-close view at a recent football game in Texas. Before the game between the Clemson Tigers and the Norte Dame Fighting Irish, the eagle was supposed to fly around during the national anthem. Instead, the huge bird perched on a fan’s back! Maybe he was tired!

Venus is Earth’s closest planetary neighbor, but we still don’t know much about what’s under its surface. NASA wants to send hot air balloons to the scorchingly hot planet, to measure seismic activity. Studying Venusquakes could tell scientists more about the internal composition of Venus, and why it’s so different from Earth.

Pittsburgh Will be a Mess

If you live anywhere near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, you might want to go to the Carnegie Science Center on New Year’s Day. They’ll be having their annual MessFest! Pudding-eating contests, egg-drop experiments, finger painting, and making slimey oobleck, are just some of the messy activities that will be happening. Dress for a mess!
