Recently, some people have complained that many points on the iconic shape, first created in 19-oh-7, were broken. While Hershey encourages everyone to celebrate each other’s differences, they may send coupons to customers who are unhappy.

Don’t Fall in THIS River

A centuries-old legend in Peru, talks about a boiling hot river in the Amazon. When geoscientist Andreas Ruzo learned it actually exists, he wanted to study how it was possible. The 82 foot-wide river is 187 degrees Fahrenheit for nearly 4 miles, and it’s nowhere near a volcano! Now Andreas works to protect the unique river.

In 1997, a character in the TV show Seinfeld, made up a holiday called Festivus, because he thought Christmas was too commercialized. Many real people now celebrate Festivus. They have the Airing of Grievances during dinner, perform Feats of Strength by wrestling, and perform a Festivus Miracle, like getting groceries into the house without tripping.

Jet-Setting Sea Lion

The Oakland Airport in California had an unlikely trespasser last week. A young sea lion was found wandering the grounds! Officials coaxed him back to the bay, but he returned a little later. The Marine Mammal Center will make sure the sea lion, nicknamed Cruizin, is healthy. Maybe he’s planning a trip to Hawaii!
