Scientists have discovered more than 100 new species, among the submerged mountains off the coast of Tasmania. In only 4 weeks, they observed previously unknown types of coral and brittle stars, crabs and lobsters, blob fish and worms. The researchers were studying how well coral reefs were recovering, after becoming a protected area 20 years ago.

Alyssa Emrick was driving through Toledo Ohio, when she noticed a giant weed growing in the sidewalk. Thinking it looked like Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree, her family added a few ornaments. It drove 2500 miles across Australia in 6 days, using only $50 worth of energy! When the vehicle, nicknamed Violet, travels at 37 miles per hour, it uses the same amount of energy as a toaster!

Firefighters in Texas had to save over 100 snakes and lizards from a house fire over the weekend. The snakes were in glass cases, so they had to carry them out, looking like a scene from the Pee-wee’s Big Adventure movie! The fire did lots of damage, but the awesome firefighters saved every animal!
