Bennu Was a Watery Asteroid

The Osiris-REx spacecraft, which recently reached the Bennu asteroid, has sent back its first readings. It appears the asteroid once held liquid water! The data showed hydrated minerals, which are minerals that have interacted with water. The spacecraft will search for a spot to land and take samples. Who knows what they’ll find!

Around the world, coal mines are going unused as cleaner fuels become more popular. But in the UK, scientists have found a new use for 150,000 abandoned mine shafts. They make great indoor farms! Using 95% less water than land farms, they need no pesticides, and are unaffected by weather. Coal mine farming sounds perfect!
