You never know what you’ll find at the thrift store. Someone recently donated a framed newspaper to a Goodwill store in the United States. It was from 1774, before the American Revolution! The staff at Goodwill had it authenticated, and believe it’s probably worth around $18,000. What a generous donation!

Amber Dorange, a French 12 year-old, had written a note, sealed it in a bottle, and dropped it overboard while on a cruise in the Canary Islands. Hurricane Florence caused waves to carry it across the Atlantic Ocean to North Carolina, where Jake and Blake Wilson found it! It was sent by Hurricane Mail!

A recent misunderstanding had chicken owners upset. The Centers for Disease Control didn’t say, you couldn’t dress your chicken up in a costume. They simply advised people to wash their hands and the costumes afterwards! The rest of us who don’t have chickens, can still appreciate seeing photos of chickens dressed for Halloween!

He dresses up for 3 days straight in elaborate costumes, from monsters to superheroes, for the Krishna Janmashtami festival in his home of Udupi India. 13 year-old Rishab Jain, from Portland Oregon, has been named America’s Next Top Young Scientist. He created a way to make pancreatic cancer treatments more effective. He developed an algorithm that uses artificial intelligence to find the pancreas, an organ that can shift its position in the body. He also wins $25,000!

1.25 miles deep, at the bottom of the Black Sea, researchers discovered a 2400 year-old shipwreck. The oldest intact shipwreck ever found, it’s a well-preserved merchant ship that resembles the paintings on ancient Greek vases! The research team is eager to explore it with a remote operated vehicle, since it’s too deep for divers.
