Breakfast Beer

Kellogg’s Corn Flakes aren’t just for breakfast anymore. The cereal company’s reduced its food waste in the UK by 12.5%, by turning it’s rejected flakes into beer. Pieces that are too big or small, become ingredients in “Throw Away IPA”, brewed by Seven Bro7hers Brewery. They’ll also donate 10 pence per can, to the Fareshare Charity.

Sarlaac Pit in Canada

A huge cave has been discovered in Canada, in British Columbia’s Wells Gray Park. It was spotted from a helicopter, with an opening 328 feet long. The massive opening inspired the cave’s nickname, the Sarlaac Pit, named after the Star Wars creature. Geoscientists believe it may have been covered by year-round snow until 20 years ago.

Clouds of Sugar

Today is Cotton Candy Day. Fresh, melt-in-your-mouth cotton candy, can be pretty hard to come by in the winter, since you usually find it at carnivals and fairs. The clouds of spun sugar are also called fairy floss or candy floss, and one of its inventors was a dentist!
