Ray Woolley has a new birthday tradition. Each year, he’s another year older when he goes scuba diving, so each year, he breaks the world record for Oldest Active Male Scuba Diver. The 95 year-old explored the shipwreck Zenobia on his dive. Originally from England, Woolley now lives in Cyprus, where he can dive often.

If you visited Paris France this summer, you may have spotted a Uritrottoir. That’s French for pavement urinal! They’d already installed Sanisettes, which are free self-cleaning toilets, on many street corners. Officials want to discourage wild peeing. Not everyone likes the bright red boxes, but at least the urinals have flowers planted on top!

Earlier this week, people in Western Australia saw a fireball light up the sky. It was a meteor entering Earth’s atmosphere! The meteor was about 1.6 feet across, and was captured on video by numerous people, dashcams, and security cameras. Residents around the town of York are searching for its remains.

University of Nebraska student John Lang and dozens of volunteers, are working on a big kickoff to the football season. Using thousands of red and white Lego bricks, he’s creating the team’s logo: a giant “N”. It will become the largest Lego Brick Mosaic of a Logo, at 47 by 37 feet!

A big lizard is wandering the streets of South Florida. The 6 foot long, 100 pound Asian water monitor is named Bamboo. A 14 year-old had been keeping him as a pet in his backyard pool. So far, no one has been able to capture the lizard king. He’s having fun exploring the neighborhood!

The Hubble Space Telescope Imaging Spetrograph has been hard at work. It’s sending incredible images of Saturn’s Aurora! The glowing auroras can’t be seen in visible light, but by using ultraviolet light, they are clear and beautiful. Saturn’s main auroral ring is likely wind-generated, but other parts are still a mystery.

Some Starbucks employees will soon be able to split their work hours. They’ll spend 20 hours working at the coffee shop, and 20 hours working for local charities. Starbucks will give the workers full-time benefits, and Points of Light, a nonprofit volunteering group, will pay them for the community service. Hopefully, the program will be successful!
