Sheep Surfing

This summer, some rabbits went surfing. But they weren’t using surfboards. They were riding sheep! A farmer in New Zealand, was checking on the sheep during a rainstorm. The farm was flooding, and the sheep were jumping through the rising water. He was surprised to see rabbits clinging to the sheep’s backs! Cowabunnyga!

Peeing in Paris

If you visited Paris France this summer, you may have spotted a Uritrottoir. That’s French for pavement urinal! They’d already installed Sanisettes, which are free self-cleaning toilets, on many street corners. Officials want to discourage wild peeing. Not everyone likes the bright red boxes, but at least the urinals have flowers planted on top!

Fireball Over Australia

Earlier this week, people in Western Australia saw a fireball light up the sky. It was a meteor entering Earth’s atmosphere! The meteor was about 1.6 feet across, and was captured on video by numerous people, dashcams, and security cameras. Residents around the town of York are searching for its remains.

Saturn’s Beautiful Auroras

The Hubble Space Telescope Imaging Spetrograph has been hard at work. It’s sending incredible images of Saturn’s Aurora! The glowing auroras can’t be seen in visible light, but by using ultraviolet light, they are clear and beautiful. Saturn’s main auroral ring is likely wind-generated, but other parts are still a mystery.

The purple woman’s silver spirit turned the chimney orange. Most of the words in that sentence don’t rhyme with anything, perfect for No Rhyme (Nor Reason) Day!
