There was a giant torta in Mexico City this week. The world’s longest torta sandwich was 229 feet long, and used 60 different ingredients! Thousands of flatbread pans were used in the annual feat. They’ve been making a bigger sandwich every year for the last 15 years!

People in San Diego California were perplexed to see a line of bright lights appear in the night sky. People thought they looked like balls of fire floating in the sky. Could it be aliens? No, it was just the Navy dropping flares during a training exercise. All that excitement for nothing!

Mask of Pakal the Great Found

A life-sized mask from the Palenque Palace in Mexico, has been unearthed by archaeologists. It’s believed to represent King K’inich Janaab’ Pakal. Pakal the Great reigned for 68 years, beginning at the age of 12 in the year 615. The mask may have been architectural decoration, and represents the king in his old age.

Goats and Happiness

In a new study, researchers found that goats prefer to interact with people who are happy and smiling. The goats were shown black and white picture of people, and they liked the happy faces, similar to studies done with dogs and horses. I’d rather interact with happy people too! Wouldn’t you?
