Yesterday at sundown, Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, began. The Jewish holiday commemorates an ancient miracle in the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. A one-day supply of oil lit a menorah, which is a type of candelabra, for 8 days. Hanukkah is celebrated for 8 days by lighting the menorah to prayers, songs, food, gifts and games.

The San Diego Zoo is home for a new baby Siamang! The Siamang is a type of large, black-furred gibbon, native to Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The mom, Eloise, is 37 years old, and the dad, Unkie, is 35. The baby was a happy surprise for everyone!

A huge painting is nearly completed in Wichita Kansas. Horizantes, an art and community group led by Armando Minjarez, has been working on the mural for the last 18 months. The artwork, designed by Colombian street artist Gleo, is painted on grain elevators, and will be the largest mural ever at 50,000 square feet!
