Warm Whirlpools Full of Sharks

Marine biologists have discovered surprising news about great white sharks. They like to hang out in warm-water eddies. The eddies are giant ocean whirlpools that spin clockwise in Earth’s Northern hemisphere. Even though cold-water eddies have more food and nutrients, sharks can spend more time in deeper water if it’s warm.

I Smell a World Record

Have you ever seen a garlic braid? It’s a way to store bulbs of garlic by weaving the leaves together, until you have a rope of garlic bulbs. Dimitra Athanasova Tzoridou, is a Greek garlic knitter, who just broke the record for the longest garlic braid. The braid of 20,000 bulbs is 2008 feet long!
