A professor in Wisconsin is approaching math in a new way. Sara Jensen is teaching a class called “Mathematics of Knitting” at Carthage College. Abstract algebra, topology, and rubber sheet geometry, subjects taught in advanced mathematics, can be demonstrated using knitting. Plus, you end up with nice scarves or pillows!

The High Trestle Trail Bridge, in Madrid Iowa, used to be a railroad bridge. When the trains stopped running, the tracks were turned into a trail for hikers and bikers. At night, special lights turn it into an optical illusion, making it seem like you’re riding through a vortex, or a time machine!

The All-American Soap Box Derby crowned 7 new world champions yesterday, in Akron Ohio. There were 7 different racing divisions, and the winners were Cayson Hayes, Landen Watson, Allison Pankoff, Dylan Swanson, Bradeyn Ditzler, Ashton Grace, and Lane Schlafke. Get involved in a local race near you, and you could be a World Champ next year!

He had to superglue his skin together after his fingers started to crack. Scott had 500 songs on his playlist, and raised money for Musicians Making A Difference.
