Spanish researchers gave young men a chance to become the famous physicist, Albert Einstein, by using a virtual reality suit. Interestingly, after they saw themselves as an elderly genius, they did better on tests, and were also less biased against the elderly. The technique may be helpful for people with low self-esteem.

Sometimes it helps to plan ahead. Sam Riding from Liverpool is planning a trip to Boston Massachusetts, so he posted a notice online. He asked locals for their favorite spots, hoping to avoid the popular tourist spots. He got loads of responses and has already made dozens of new friends, before even arriving in Boston!

Double the Fun

Can you do chin-ups? How about hula hoop? What about doing chin-ups while hula hooping! Rachael Lust just did a record breaking 12 chin-ups while rotating a hoop around her waist. Chin-ups are done with your palms facing in, while pull-ups are performed with palms facing out. Most pull-ups while hula hooping has its own record.

1.1 Billion Year-Old Pink Pigment

Researchers have found fossilized chlorophyll, a pigment found in plants and bacteria, in rocks over one billion years old. The pigment was pink! Chlorophyll itself is actually green, but the molecular building blocks of chlorophyll, called porphyrins, can be red or purple. The ancient oceans were swimming with brightly-colored microscopic cyanobacteria!

4 Fawns and a Pup

ZooAmerica at Hershey Park welcomed 5 new babies last month. Four pronghorn fawns were born, named Amy, Megan, Callum and Kathy. The pronghorn antelope is the fastest animal in North America! A harbor seal pup, named Cocoa, was also born. She already weighs twice as much as when she was born!
