I Spy a Robot Spy Fish

It’s hard to study animals in the ocean. Fish can swim so much better than humans and it’s hard to breathe! Researchers from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) developed a robot fish named SoFi that will solve those problems. SoFi is remote-controlled, blends in with other fish, and can spy on animals up to 50 feet deep!

Tea and Quilting in Kazakhstan

To celebrate the Spring Festival, Nauryz, today in Almaty Kazakhstan, quilters are beginning what they hope will become the world’s largest patchwork quilt. The 25,500 square meter quilt will represent the diverse nature and people of Kazakhstan. The city is also serving a big cup of tea to 20,000 people. The cup holds 2000 liters!

Cows Greet Alien Visitors

Derek Klingenberg is a celebrity farmer YouTuber. Millions of people have watched him serenade his cows with his trombone or sing a farm version of “What Does the Fox Say?”. He also makes cow space art! Derek herded his cows into position, spelling out a giant “Hi!” which was photographed by satellite imagery!

Staying Fit Forever

Centenarians, or people who are at least 100 years old, have been breaking world records right and left! 102 year-old Julia “Hurricane” Hawkins and 100 year-old Orville Rogers both set speed records for their age group in the 60 meter dash over the weekend. Roy Englert, a relative youngster at age 93, also set a world record in the 3000 meter race.
