An archaeological site in Vasagard Denmark has turned up more than 300 carved stones from the Stone Age, around 5000 years ago. The sunstones are small round discs with lines carved from the center like the sun’s rays. They may have been used as temple coins, maps, counting stones or in funeral ceremonies. They are still a mystery!

In the Colorado River Delta in Mexico, the Gulf corvina fish gather for a noisy reunion. The fish is a type of croaker that has a swim bladder in its abdomen that can make a drumming sound. Scientists recorded them and they are the loudest known fish. They sound like machine guns!

Recently JAXA, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, discovered a 31 mile-long cavern on the moon. It’s probably an ancient lava tube beneath the Marius Hills. The cave might be an ideal place to build a lunar base for colonization because it is protected from radiation and has a stable temperature.

It’s official: Ray Woolley is the world’s oldest scuba diver! Ray beat 93 year-old Erwin Paul Staller’s record by spending his 94th birthday diving to the wreck of the Zenobia ferry in Larnaca, Cyprus. Woolley grew up in England but now lives in Cyprus where the mild climate allows him to swim every day.
