Have you ever dropped your phone in water? People used to recommend putting wet electronics in a bag of rice, to dry them out. Apple now says, rice can damage your device. Simply wipe your phone dry, then air dry naturally until all moisture has evaporated, before plugging it in, or charge wirelessly.

Tasty Tortilla Triangles

Crunch-crunch-crunch. Today is Tortilla Chip Day! In Los Angeles in the 1940’s, Rebecca Webb Carranza noticed all the misshapen tortillas that were rejected at the El Zarape Tortilla Factory. She cut them into triangles and fried them, then sold them for 10 cents a bag. Corn + oil + water + salt = delicious!

All the furniture is flipped 180 degrees, and attached to the ceilings, making for a head-spinning house tour and fantastic photo opportunities. From outside, the house appears to be sitting on its roof.

Big Footprint Found on the Beach

Joe Thompson, a recent paleontology graduate, is a fossil guide on the Isle of Wight. After a rainstorm, he was looking for fossils and dinosaur bones, but found a huge dinosaur footprint instead. The 3-toed iguanodon track is 1 meter long, and 127,000,000 years old. It had been hidden underneath pebbles in the clay.

Peek-a-Boo, I Finally See You!

The Denver Zoo in Colorado, was excited to announce they’d spotted a new baby red-necked wallaby, peeking out of its mama’s pouch. The joey’s been growing in the cozy environment for 5 months already, and will venture out of mama Adelaide’s pouch in the coming months. Newborn wallabies are only the size of a jellybean!

Banana Biscuits

Today is Banana Bread Day. It started out as a way to use up the mushy bananas that nobody wanted to eat, but it’s delicious! It’s also Dog Biscuit Day, so give your poochie a treat. Find a good recipe, and bake him a batch of biscuits so good, that you’d eat them too!
