Chocolate lovers, today is your lucky day. It’s Chocolate Day! People have been eating chocolate, made from the seeds of cacao trees, since at least 1900 BCE. Be sure to watch some cartoons while you enjoy your chocolate, because it’s also Animation Day. Create your own stop-motion video or flip-book animation!

Buying a new recliner is a big decision, that requires input from everyone who will use it. That’s why Grandpa Dahl brought his dog Coco with him, when he went chair-shopping. He needed to make sure the recliner’s footrest was big enough to hold his favorite doggo too! They picked out the perfect armchair!

Halloween season is a fun time to try out spooky treats. Maybe you’d like feetloaf. It’s made like meatloaf, but shaped like feet, with onion toenails. How about caramel onions? They look like caramel apples, to trick your friends! Trick-or-treat mini cupcakes can be filled with chocolate, salsa, jelly, or mustard! Surprise!

Did you ever wish you could tickle your phone? Me neither. But scientists have developed an artificial skin that wraps around devices, and responds to human touch. The fake skin looks and feels real, and senses the user’s grasp. It can help translate feelings, like tickling, into symbols, like a laughing emoji.

In many parts of the Northern Hemisphere, like Europe, you got an extra hour to sleep in this morning. The clocks went back one hour, since Daylight Saving Time ended. Most of North America, will change next week. Not all countries use Daylight Saving, so it’s confusing! Just remember: spring forward, fall back!

Today is Black Cat Day. They’re always dressed for Halloween! Black cats have a harder time getting adopted, so consider giving one a home with you! It’s also Cranky Co-Workers Day. Bring them a treat to make them less cranky. If you’re the one who’s always cranky, let everyone know it’s your special day!

How much would you pay for a good parking space? Someone in Hong Kong paid $969,000 for a coveted spot in front of a 79-story office building. The skyscraper has only 40 parking spots, and Johnny Cheung owned 4 of them! After selling them all, he could buy a helicopter instead, and just park on top.

A museum in Minnesota is celebrating Halloween, by having a Creepy Doll Contest. The History Center of Olmstead County, is asking people to vote for their favorite creepy doll by liking it on the museum’s Facebook or Instagram pages. The winners will be let out of their boxes, to be displayed next week.

A pair of white moose have been spotted in Canada. They are not albino, but leucistic, with only a partial loss of pigment. The rare moose were crossing the highway in Ontario, right in front of Jackie Burns Loyer, so she was able to capture some great video for everyone to enjoy!

Pizza Hut is trying something crazy. They’re testing out round pizza boxes! The new boxes will have less packaging and be compostable. They debuted the box at a one-day event in Phoenix Arizona, where they also offered Incogmeato, a meatless Italian Sausage, as a topping on the Garden Specialty Pizza. Sounds good to me!
