The University of Lincoln in England, has installed unusual vending machines. They dispense short stories on a receipt, for free! Students can print out a random 1, 3, or 5 minute story based on how long they feel like reading. They can also submit stories, to be added to the 100,000 stories already in the database.

It’s October, and many people are planning their Halloween costumes. Even the moon will dress up, but it will celebrate early. On Sunday, the Full Hunter’s Moon will be in the sky all night long. Keep watch for when it first rises around sunset, because it will look huge and orange!

An avocado in Maui Hawaii, is the world’s heaviest, in the Guinness Book of World Records. It weighed 5.6 pounds, and their avocado made enough guacamole to feed the whole Pokini family! They hold the official record, but Kenji Fukumitsu gave away a 6 1/2 pound avocado earlier this year, and he’s often given away bigger ones!

Are you a girl? Get ready to celebrate International Day Of The Girl Child. Being a girl is awesome! High five other girls and tell them they’re great! The United Nations created the Day of Girls, to highlight the injustices females face in many parts of the world. Someday, everyone will enjoy equality.

A teenager in Ohio came home to a smashed sliding glass door, but it wasn’t broken by a burglar or a vandal. He found it had been broken by a large goat, who was asleep in the bathroom! The police located the owner, and took the naughty billy goat home.

A security police robot in Los Angeles California, has been patrolling a park since June, but the HP RoboCop can’t actually call the police. When a woman saw people fighting, she tried to alert the robot, who told her to “step out of the way.” She still had to call 9-1-1 for help!
