When Emily Bauer was 4 years old, her beloved stuffed toy went missing. Her family searched everywhere, but Plurna the kitty had vanished. 14 years later, Emily’s toy has been found! A farmer spotted it while putting up a new fence. Plurna was covered in dirt and moss, but looks good as new after a bath!

Police in Tampa Florida were called to remove a very large and angry alligator in Rowlett Park. He was easy to spot, because he was right underneath a sign that said Warning, Alligators! Maybe he was mad because the sign had a picture of a cartoon alligator, that made him look silly.

David Rush, world record holder of the most world records, just broke another record. He stood on a balance board while his friend threw grapes at him, then sliced them in the air with a samurai sword. He sliced 70 grapes in one minute! He’s a real-life fruit ninja!

The state of Virginia is nuts about nuts! They want to plant trees, but they need to grow them from nuts and acorns. If you’d like to help, collect from certain types of oak or chestnut trees, you can deliver them to the Virginia Department of Forest, and next year they’ll be trees!

What’s your car’s name? You ride in a car all the time, but you don’t even have a name for it? Well, today is Name Your Car Day, so pick a good one. It’s also Homemade Cookies Day, and World Vegetarian Day. Cookies don’t have meat in them, so you can celebrate both!

If you live in Australia and love garlic, there’s a great job opening for you. Domino’s Pizza is hiring a Chief Garlic Bread Tester. The job pays $20 an hour, and requires a minimum of 5 years experience in garlic bread consumption, and working taste buds. Applicants must submit a 200 word essay or 30 second video.

The bears in Pennsylvania want a good education. Last week, a young bear popped open a window at Fretz Middle School one night, and roamed the hallways. A security camera recorded his visit, which ended when he got scared of his own reflection, and ran back out. He was a very well-behaved student.

A new study shows that the Tyrannosaurus rex really did have strong enough jaws to crush a car. Their skulls were rigid like a crocodile’s instead of flexible like a bird’s, helping them bite down with 7 tons of force! Modern saltwater crocodiles have the strongest bite on Earth today, and it’s not even 2 tons.

Last week, 1,200 students in Belgium, cleaned up the beach in Ostend. The children, aged 8 to 14, were doing a project called Oceans of Tomorrow. They were joined by staff dressed as blue Smurfs, as well as Neptune, the Greek god of the sea. Their schools are teaching them the importance of clean seas.
