He started spending so much time there, that he moved in permanently! He keeps it wet, and can rebuild for free if it gets destroyed!

Last week, a stray dog in Brazil wandered into a bookstore, grabbed a book, and left. The book he shoplifted was appropriately named “The Days of Abandonment”! The smart doggie was caught on video and seen by local animal rescuers. They took in the abandoned dog, cleaned and fed him, and he’ll soon be adopted!

The Pantanal is an area of wetlands in South America that covers 42 million acres and houses 4700 plant and animal species. Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay just signed a Declaration to protect, preserve, and safely develop the Pantanal. The three countries recognize the importance of tropical wetlands and are doing their part to save them!

A new species of tree frog was discovered on an abandoned highway in Brazil. The frog has been named Scina Onxa, or the Jaguar snouted tree frog. The frog has orange eyes and is almost two inches long and has black spots. Worldwide, there are an estimated 800 species of tree frog.
