A cafe and charity in Scotland named Social Bite, is doing great things for homeless people. They train and hire the homeless to work in their restaurants, donate 100% of the profits to charity, and give free food to the homeless community. Now Social Bite has even built a small village for their rough-sleeping employees! Awesome!

Non-Plastic Water Bottles are Coming

James Longcroft wanted to sell bottles of water in the United Kingdom to raise money to provide clean drinking water in Africa. But the bottle had to be completely biodegradable and non-toxic to ecosystems, and inexpensive. Named Choose Water, the bottles are made of a special paper, and all profits will go to his charity, Water For Africa.

Talk about putting your money where your mouth is! Comfort Restaurant in Richmond Virginia, co-owned by Chef Jason Alley and Michele Jones, now donates all of its net profits to help fight hunger! They partnered with FeedMore, a hunger relief organization serving central Virginia. Eat delicious food at Comfort, feed strangers. It’s a win-win!

Kids can Raise Big Money for Charity

Giving Tuesday is a good time to tell you about ways kids have raised money for charity. 8 year-olds Max Chwatko and Alex Travis started charging a nickel a joke to raise money for cancer research and have raised $30,000! But the Comedy Kids can’t top Charlie Simpson. The 7 year-old raised $240,000 for Haiti after the earthquake in 2010 by riding his bike 5 miles!
