He has raised money by selling hats, flamethrowers, and now interlocking rocks! Elon Musk and SpaceX launched the first two satellites of the massive Starlink plan. Musk wants to provide high-speed internet coverage for the entire Earth by launching thousands of interlinked broadband-internet satellites into orbit. The Boring Company, another of Elon Musk’s projects, is planning to dig a tunnel from Washington DC to New York. A track called the Hyperloop will make the trip in 30 minutes, with stops in Baltimore and Philadelphia along the way! A Hyperloop test track is under construction in the desert near Las Vegas.

February 6th is the launch date set for SpaceX’s rocket, Falcon Heavy. The payload for the vehicle will be Elon Musk’s car, a Tesla roadster. The Falcon Heavy will go into orbit past Mars, while its three booster rockets come back to land on Earth to be used again.

SpaceX founder Elon Musk is sending a special payload to Mars. When the Falcon Heavy rocket launches next month, it will be carrying Elon’s red Tesla Roadster playing the song “Space Oddity”. The rocket is destined to orbit Mars though, so the car will not get to drive on the planet.
