Were you one of the 1.9 billion people around the world who watched the royal wedding? British Prince Harry married American Meghan Markle yesterday at Windsor Castle in London. Their new titles are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. After months of excitement and preparation, everyone was happy watching the beautiful couple get married!

Running 26 Miles Isn’t Enough?

Last weekend, the London Marathon resulted in 34 new world records! There was the fastest marathon on stilts, and the fastest people dressed as a carrot, Star Wars character, cheerleader, man in a wedding dress, and Forrest Gump. Even the weather participated: it was the hottest London Marathon on record, at a balmy 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

Little Willand is Growing Up

The English village of Willand in Devon is rising up. The elevation of the entire town and surrounding fields, is growing by 2 centimeters every year! While the change is gradual and not really noticeable, it is baffling scientists. They can’t find any reason for the land to lift up! They’ll continue studying until they solve the mystery.

Inspiring Science and Stuff

Congratulations to Bethan Padbury, a British teen who won the Guinness World Records: Science and Stuff Inspire Award at the Big Bang Fair in England. She produced electricity to light up a sign using a bicycle and a homemade generator. You could also smell a recreation of the smelly corpse flower at the fair!
